On May 29, 2026, Pastor Howard Patton Ill of the House of Prayer and Erie County Vice Commander installed Marvin A. Prophet as the new Commander of the American Legion Jesse Clipper Post No. 430. During the ceremony, Commander Prophet was honored with the prestigious "Legionnaire of the Year Award" by Immediate Past Commander Cheryl C. Thomas, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and commitment to veterans and their families.

Commander Prophet retired from the U.S. Army after twenty-three years of honorable service, which included two deployments to Iraq. He retired with the rank of Staff Sergeant.

In addition to his role as Commander, Prophet serves as a deacon at God's Temple of Grace, where Pastor Joe Henderson leads the congregation. He recently celebrated thirty two years of marriage to his wonderful wife, Ronda. Together, they are proud parents of two sons, Arius and Armon.
