Buffalo Bills Alumni Legends to Host Annual NFL Flag Football Camp for Buffalo PAL
Who: Buffalo Bills Alumni Legends Jerry Butler WR 1979–1986, Ken Jones DL/OL 1976–1986, Mark Schmidt UB Alum and former Detroit Lions WR 1988, Joe Bock Center 1987, Mark Kelso Free Safety/ DB 1986–1993, Jeff Nixon DB/Safety 1979–1984, Lou Piccone WR/ Kick Returner 1977–1982, Buffalo Bills Manager of Alumni Relations Curtis Hemingway, Police Athletic League of Buffalo Executive Director Nekia Kemp, and PAL Camp Champs youth.
What: On Friday, the Buffalo Bills Alumni Legends will host their fourth Buffalo Bills Alumni Legends NFL Flag Football Camp for Buffalo PAL youth. The private event is organized by Buffalo Bills Alumni Legends Jerry Butler and JD Hill and will accommodate over 100 youth ages 5-17 enrolled in The Police Athletic League of Buffalo summer Camp Champs program. Youth who attend will learn about form, proper stretching and warmups, offensive and defensive stations, terms, and the business of the game. In addition, the Bills Alumni Legends will engage in meaningful discussions with youth about life skills and decision-making. Former Bills players will also share personal stories about encountering law enforcement, and the importance of education. Youth will receive a T-shirt, treats, autographs and pictures. Media is invited to attend.
When: Friday, August 7th, 2025, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Why: The Buffalo Bills Alumni Legends is a brotherhood of over 1,300 former Buffalo Bills who live throughout the U.S. and give back to the community, which has supported them throughout their athletic career in Buffalo. The Buffalo Bills Alumni NFL Flag Football Camp allows the legends to return to Buffalo to use their skills as retired athletes and experienced adults to inspire and mentor youth.
